The animals of Argos-Mykines need our help! We are a small team but are always looking for new volunteers. There are many ways you can help, and you can choose how many hours per month you are able to contribute.
Community (street) animal volunteers
We need people to help us raise funds and find donations of food and equipment. This is a job you can do without getting your hands dirty! If you would like to help the animals from the comfort of your home and enjoy fundraising, this is much needed.
Shelter volunteers
The animals who live free in our municipality have a legal and moral right to remain in their familiar places and have a life of choices. But many lack care and we can do so much more for them if we have volunteers to care for them. The animals need food, water, shelter from weather and people to stand up for their rights. Perhaps you don’t have time or the right home for a dog but would love one in your life? Then this is the job for you.
Fundraisers

Foster Carers
Shelters are stressful places for animals, we try to minimise as much as possible how many dogs end up in shelters – and there simply is no shelter here for cats. So we need foster carers to take in animals to their home temporarily, especially for the most vulnerable animals who will not cope in a shelter or who need extra care. You can agree to foster long term or short term, you just need to be able to provide for the needs of the animal. Costs such as veterinary care and food will be covered by us.
Community education volunteers
Join us to increase the reach of our community education activities! We visit schools and run community events to help people understand the rights and needs of animals, and how they too can help in many ways to improve animal welfare in Argos-Mykines.
Voluntourism!
Are you one of our international supporters? We invite you to come to Greece, see the beautiful Peloponnese region and help with our animals! We can even arrange a discount on accommodation in a mountain cottage just a 20 minute drive from Argos.
